Warranty Terms and Conditions

1. Scope of Warranty

Alloy Refurb Centre (ARC) provides a limited warranty on the following services subject to the specific durations and conditions outlined below. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer named on the invoice.

2. Warranty Durations

  • Powder Coating / Full Refurbishment: 12 Months from date of invoice.

  • Caliper Painting: 6 Months from date of invoice.

  • Structural Repairs (Straightening & Crack Repairs): 48 Hours from time of collection.

3. Defined Liability (What We Are Liable For)

ARC’s liability is strictly limited to the rectification of workmanship defects directly resulting from the refurbishment process. Our liability is confined to:

  • Correction of Finish: If the paint or powder coat fails (peels, flakes, or blisters) within the specified period due to improper application or curing.

  • Faulty Workmanship: We are liable to re-perform the specific service originally paid for if the failure is proven to be a direct result of our negligence or faulty materials.

  • Re-balancing: Re-balancing of wheels only if a balancing issue is reported within 48 hours of collection.

4. Limitation of Liability (What We Are NOT Liable For)

In no event shall ARC be held liable for any costs exceeding the original invoice value of the service provided. We are explicitly not liable for:

  • Consequential Loss: Including but not limited to vehicle hire, loss of earnings, recovery charges, or storage fees.

  • Tyre Damage: Damage to tyres caused by previous structural failure of the wheel or road conditions.

  • Third-Party Costs: We will not reimburse any costs for repairs carried out by other garages or specialists without our prior written consent.

5. Structural Repairs: Specific Liability Release

Repairs involving the straightening of buckled wheels or the welding of cracked alloys are performed as a restorative measure only.

  • Structural Integrity: The customer acknowledges that a repaired alloy wheel is inherently structurally weaker than a new or undamaged wheel.

  • 48-Hour Limit: The 48-hour warranty is provided solely to allow the customer to verify the immediate success of the repair (e.g., pressure retention). Any subsequent cracking after this period is considered a result of ongoing structural degradation or road conditions, for which ARC accepts zero liability.

6. Diamond Cut Refurbishments

  • Feasibility: A wheel may appear viable upon visual inspection but may be found unsuitable once measured by CNC equipment.

  • Liability Waiver: ARC reserves the right to cease the cutting process at any stage if the technician deems the wheel would become unsafe. ARC accepts no liability for wheels that cannot be successfully re-cut. In such instances, ARC will endeavor to provide the best possible aesthetic outcome within the remaining safety tolerances.

7. Exclusions and Voidance

The warranty is strictly voided by:

  • Impact Damage: Any kerbing, stone chips, or accidental damage post-collection.

  • Chemical Cleaning: Use of acid-based or aggressive “wheel cleaners.”

  • Maintenance: Damage caused by high-pressure jet washes used at a distance of less than 1 meter.

8. Claims Procedure

To initiate a claim, the customer must:

  1. Produce the original dated invoice.

  2. Present the vehicle/wheel for physical inspection at ARC premises.

  3. Allow ARC the first right of refusal to rectify any proven defect.
